HOW TO NOT LOOK LIKE A LIZARD ON TV | PUBLIC SPEAKING | PRESENTATION SKILLS

Have you ever seen someone on TV who just does not look right or something just seems off about them? Something that puts you off enough to make you feel as if you do not trust that person?

Something as simple as constantly sticking your tongue out on numerous occasions makes you look weird and can set people off. It worked for the conservative commentator, William F. Buckley, but most people simply end up looking like a lizard. Some things done in person are not as noticeable. However, being on camera and being projected on a big screen where you become much more magnified an subsequently scrutinised by the viewers, your antics may look very weird.

Here is my recommendation, make sure you have water before you start to speak. Another tip is to wear lip balm. Speaking generally tends to dry out your mouth which makes it more likely that you try and lick your lips. Having lip balm on can help prevent that.

So have some extra water and extra lip balm by your hand, and no one will end up calling you Lizardman or Lizardwoman.
