I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist. But i am an expert on one particular problem: fear of public speaking. And let me tell you, you can get over this fear in 8 hours. I have helped thousands of people over the globe to do it.
The key is to practice out loud on video and look at yourself. But that alone is not enough as stopping there will only make you worse. As you watch yourself speak, you have to make a list of everything you like and everything you do not like. After that, you must speak again on video in an effort to eliminate just one thing that you did not like. Rewatch the new recording and check if you were able to eliminate it. If not, do it again but the key is to only focus on one thing at a time. Practicing over a two minute speech and rewatching it a couple of times may not even take a full 8 hours and you may end up even earlier.
Now that you have learned this, you must actually execute it. If you simply refuse to do the basic steps then you cannot expect yourself to get over your fear either. I can assure you that if you follow these steps, you can very simply get over your fear of public speaking. Record yourself speaking, watch it, make a list of areas of improvement, record yourself again, and improve one by one until you achieve your goal. Once you get to the point where you like how you are coming across, it will becoming virtually impossible to fear public speaking as you will have become good at it.
