Speaking Channel TV’s newest PR talk-show, Inside Communications, has released an interview with Janine Gordon, Founder and CEO of Janine Gordon Associates (JGA), the highly respected New York PR boutique.
Specifically, Ms. Gordon describes how Public Relations has evolved since 1993, when she established her firm. She also describes the agency’s success in promoting the launch of a fine dining restaurant on Wall Street.
As PR agency of record for this fine dining restaurant for the past five years, JGA was challenged with creating excitement surrounding the opening of their third location in Manhattan. JGA’s approach was to forge a strategic alliance between the restaurant and the Guggenheim Museum by arranging a fund-raising luncheon the week before restaurant opened to the public. Centerpiece of the event was a conversation between Guggenheim Executive Director Richard Armstrong and world-famous architect Frank Gehry.
“The luncheon was a complete sell-out,” Ms. Gordon said, adding, “it raised $30,000 for the Museum, was attended by key influencers from the worlds of art and finance and generated considerable print, broadcast and online media coverage.”
During the interview, Ms. Gordon noted that her firm has a brand-new website, which not only gives JGA a new look, but also aims to support not-for-profits.
“If you visit our website, you can elect to have us make a donation in your name to one of two not-for-profits we represent,” she explained.
