Here is your Skype video tip of the day: if you are doing an interview or just conducting an interview through Skype video or any other platform, the problem is that it often looks horrible. This is because you have a camera at the top of your laptop and it is a foot lower than your eye so it is looking up your knows and typically shooting into the ceiling where the lights are bright.
You do not have to go out and build a new big fancy studio. Here Is the solution i often use. Just get a stack of book you want to put your laptop or computer on. The stack should be high enough so that the camera is just an inch or two above your eyes. That is what makes the video look more professional. The angle of the camera matters just as much as the background and the lighting.
This costs nothing and can be done in 20 seconds yet it will make any video you do look tons more professional.
