We mentioned here last week that the number of households with TV has declined for the first time since 1992. I think that number will continue to go down and news today that YouTube will begin renting movies might very well be one of the reasons why.
The increased access to movies and TV’s shows online has made the need for TV not a high priority for many people and certainly not a high priority for many young people. This demographic will become a hard target to hit for advertisers.
