How can you communicate with charisma? Wouldn’t we all like to be able to do that. But what is the secret to charisma?
Guess what? I am here to tell you that there is no such thing as charisma. When people say charisma what they really mean is that the person is a good public speaker. Now you may be thinking that that is not what you mean. So let’s do a little thought experiment. I want you to think of a famous politician whose politics you like and this person is universally acknowledged to be a charismatic leader, a charismatic person, and a charismatic personality. So answer this question: is that person a great public speaker? If you are a conservative you may be thinking about Ronald Reagan, if you are a democrat or a liberal you may be thinking about Bill Clinton, both of whom are great public speakers.
Now imagine someone whose politics you like but they are a horrible public speaker. Chances are that that person is not considered to be charismatic. So what I deduce from that is that it is really about public speaking but people just do not want to say it like that. They want to consider charisma as an ethereal, special, and mysterious thing that no one else can reach. But when you call it public speaking, it becomes a skill that can be learned.
So if you want to build your charisma and want to be seen as a charismatic personality, the simplest, fastest, easiest, and most quantifiable thing you can do is learn to be a great public speaker.
