Here’s the good news folks: you do not have to be natural born public speaker!
If you doubt me, here is what I want you to do: think of famous leader, titans of the industry, politicians, or anyone that you admire, go to YouTube, and find the oldest video you can possibly find of that person. It can be Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, or anyone else. You will find them giving speeches that are truly horrible.
That does not mean that public speaking does not matter. What it does mean, is that you can overcome the problems that you face doing it. All those people that I just mentioned went on to become great public speaker which means that it is not a natural born skill. You can certainly learn it.
Even the people that you think are highly successful have had horrible speeches. So do not beat yourself up or just give up if you are not currently a great public speaker. But you must be willing to improve proactively.
I generally encourage you to look at great public speakers so you find a role model and inspiration, but sometimes, nothing is more motivating than watching how awful some people used to be who have now achieved a tremendous amount of success.
