Rating The Golden Globe Acceptance Speeches: Who Was the BEST and Who BOMBED?

January 15, 2007

New York City--For the third consecutive year, internationally renowned presentation expert TJ Walker will rate stars’ acceptance speeches from the Golden Globe Awards. Walker will rate the stars’ speeches based on the following criteria:

*Humor
*Poise
*Emotion
*Memorability
*Entertainment value

“For most stars, the largest audience they will ever perform in front of is the TV awards show audience. They owe it to their fans to say thanks with style, substance and good humor. Celebrities who decide to ‘wing it’ and deliver a boring mishmash of uh’s, um's, gurgles, and ‘I didn’t think I would win so I didn’t prepare anything’ deserve to be condemned and ridiculed,” said Walker.

Walker is president of Media Training Worldwide and has given presentation and media training to everyone from Miss Universe, Nobel Peace Prize winners, CEOS, Members of Congress, to NFL stars.

Walker’s video analysis of the 2007 Golden Globe Awards will air as a special TV program (January 16, 2007) on The Speaking Channel, www.speakingchannel.tv, a broadband TV network devoted to all aspects of speaking. Co-hosting the Speaking Channel awards show analysis will be Erica Beth Keller, Senior Correspondent for the Speaking Channel.

Walker is a frequent guest expert analyst on news programs to critique celebrities’ and newsmakers’ presentations. He has appeared on more than 2000 TV and radio news programs including Fox News Channel, NPR, MSNBC, Court TV and E! Network.

Walker and Keller are available for interviews regarding the 2007 Golden Globes and the 2007 Academy Awards.
